Sold! – 20 years of RC hobby

Thanks to Tom of Waxahatchie, many model airplanes and goodies now have a new home…

After 20+ years of designing/building/flying remote control airplanes, its time to leave the hobby and move on to other endeavors (like small house design.) Below is a quick listing of my airplanes and accessories for sale, and some basic pictures. Obviously, all this should go to someone in the Central Texas area. Right now, It pretty much takes up and entire 10×10 storage unit, so plan on bringing a good size trailer to load it all up!

I’ve been build and flying model airplanes for fun about 20 years now. So, when you get an ad like this below, it sounds great at first glance:

But, when you add up the “required accessories” to get said airplane ready to go, you end up having spent this…

So, $520 “extra” dollars later, you have a flyable airplane… There Ain’t No Justice!

Spent last Saturday adventuring with the guys down in Monaville, Texas. We all loaded up to go see a bunch of people fly expensive and large model airplanes all day. Some some really neat stuff too. Afterwards, on a recommendation, went to The Thirsty Parrot for dinner. Food was great, as specified, but it was more of a country biker bar than anything else. They were doing a fund raiser, and had a lingerie show with what had to be pro dancers out of Houston. Laughed a lot, leered a little, drank some beer, then rode back home. Long day, but so much fun! I need more days like that.

I promised I’d upload a picture for him to get, but hadn’t updated the other site yet, so here it is for you, Tommy!

From all reports, he says it flies extremely well, like a big Cub. Built from a Balsa USA kit, 10 ft. wing span, Zenoah GT-80 twin gas engine, 2.4 Spectrum radio. Weighs in at 34 lbs. Photo by Col. CC Adams (Retired)
