Bomber Field…

Spent last Saturday adventuring with the guys down in Monaville, Texas. We all loaded up to go see a bunch of people fly expensive and large model airplanes all day. Some some really neat stuff too. Afterwards, on a recommendation, went to The Thirsty Parrot for dinner. Food was great, as specified, but it was more of a country biker bar than anything else. They were doing a fund raiser, and had a lingerie show with what had to be pro dancers out of Houston. Laughed a lot, leered a little, drank some beer, then rode back home. Long day, but so much fun! I need more days like that.

Summer Death (a poem)

silent forests
but for winds’ sigh

Death’s silent scream
of cicadas
litter the loam
and the birds’ feast

new Life awaits
hidden away
Summer’s love
Death anew

Post Script:
It makes me sad
and I know why
I can only as they;

live my life
then die.

Title change

I’ve changed the title to Meandering Along, instead of Meanderings. Works just as well, I’ve got the domain name now, as well as meanderalong.com, and it sure conveys the same sense of my life approach. Yay!

Tommy Armstrong’s “new” Ercoupe

I promised I’d upload a picture for him to get, but hadn’t updated the other site yet, so here it is for you, Tommy!

From all reports, he says it flies extremely well, like a big Cub. Built from a Balsa USA kit, 10 ft. wing span, Zenoah GT-80 twin gas engine, 2.4 Spectrum radio. Weighs in at 34 lbs. Photo by Col. CC Adams (Retired)
