all hallows eve

Twas the night before All Hallows Eve
And all through my caves,
not a creature was stirring,
Not even a knave.
When all at once rose such a chatter
Like a thousand witches flying to Maiter.
I rose from my tomb as quick as flash,
And flew to my window with no glass to smash.
And what did my immortal eyes perceive? But eleven tiny demons, and a being
with a spear. He threw lightning, for all to fear, and his voice roared
mightily, though I did not fear.
ìCome up, my minions of death!
Come up, and take your due!”
As quick as he spoke, I jumped to the fire,
and with a swish of my hands, closed the flue!
I was lucky this night, as the demons flew past, as there were more mortals,
than they could gather at last.
But as the sun rose, after that Hallowed Eve, he cried, ìSoon Iíll be back,
and all will grieve!î
